The Changing Face

1. The Changing Face

Here comes the changing face
It's come to stare you out
Maybe it's serious
Or just fooling about
Some think it's wonderful
I never know what to think
Wash the old things enough
And one day they're bound to shrink
Let's talk about chance
Here in the house built on sand

Through your window (so clear)
In your mirror (so clear)
The changing face

This is the restless time
This is a blustery day
Everything's in the air
But some things don't blow away
Let's talk about fear
Same time and place as last year

Through your window (so clear)
In your mirror (so clear)
The changing face

The castaway on the island
To get away, he builds a boat
But he never ever sets sail
Because he's not sure it will float

Nobody wants to grow old
Some don't want to grow up
Look I'm not hiding now
Come on and catch me up
Here comes the changing face
Bringing the helping hand
And millions of different worlds
Were spinning in the same land
Only fools wait forever
Only fools wait for the perfect day

Through your window (so clear)
In your mirror (so clear)
The changing face
The changing face

Here comes the changing face

2. Jack Of All Trades

I left routine behind
I just couldn't find me a good one track mind
Now I'm Jack Of All Trades
Odd jobs, that's what I do
Pay me a fair wage and I'll work for you
I'm Jack Of All Trades

Try everything once
Come with me

In my bag of tools
I always find something for each task
In my lucky bag
There's things I didn't know that I had
Sometimes I even surprise myself

Try everything once
Open all the doors
Gatecrash all the parties
Don't do it tomorrow do it now

I'm trying to make a living like everybody else
Jack Of Diamonds
Jack Frost, Jack Tar
Jack-In-The-Box
Jackie Charlton

I draw and drive
I shoot and spin
If you don't take part then how can you win?
Jack, must be mad
Jack, Jack The Lad
Let me sing you a song
I wanna prove that I'm master of none
I'm just Jack Of All Trades
Jack Of All Trades

Try everything once
Come with me
